Getting Started

     Our slogan at Davenport barbell is Vivamus Sui Irius, and this means to live freely. I believe in life, and you should be able to do things for yourself. On our website, we will teach you how to coach yourself and become your trainer. Also, I believe you should be flexible and balanced in your approach, not rigid and dogmatic, not a set structure. 

    It is not that we don’t believe in coaches or trainers. I have used coaches and trainers Throughout the years, with excellent results. Sometimes it can be too expensive to hire a personal trainer or a coach, and you might not have the budget. This is an option for you to coach yourself and to create your nutrition program and workout routine.

    I will share my philosophy with you on these subjects and help you to create your great workouts to achieve the results you want. I have personally been training for over 25 years and have developed my unique method and philosophy. One of my core values is that training should improve your life. It shouldn’t be your life. When I was younger, my entire life would revolve around my training.

    Nowadays, I want to be in the best shape possible to improve my quality of life and health. I have a wife and a daughter, and I want to be around for them as long as possible and have the best quality of life possible. My routines are extremely flexible. If you can’t work out a particular day, no problem, work out the next day or the next day. I don’t think it’s a big deal to take a day off. What is more important is the intensity at which you train.

    I believe every single workout you have should be the best workout and You have ever had in your entire life. When I exercise, I progress in every single training I ever have. You don’t get stronger during a workout, and you get stronger in between workouts. When you’re resting and recovering, and this should be your primary focus. Training merely stimulates an adaptation in your body. Exercise breaks down your muscles and should be kept to an absolute minimum. There are many benefits to this philosophy. Namely, it will free up your time.

    I have competed and won in strongman competitions, powerlifting competitions, Mixed Martial Arts competitions, and now I am entering into bodybuilding and classic physique. If you want to become the strongest version of yourself and get in the best shape of your life become a member today.
